Recommended Products

After years of recommending a handful of specific products I decided to put them together on this site. Should you choose to purchase through the Amazon affiliate links below, I will earn a small percentage that will be put towards my social outreach projects and grassroots initiatives. These include but are not limited to PA Day Nature and Wellness Camps, wellness talks and speaking engagements, workshops and classes.

Squatty Potty

This should be in every bathroom of your home for the entire family to use! This stool brings the knees higher than the hips in order to relax muscles around the rectum allowing for easier evacuation of the bowels. It is also very easy to clean. If you prefer to shop in person, Canadian Tire stocks them here in Caledonia. We use the 9” stool in our bathrooms as pictured above! Link to 7” or for a nicer aesthetic they have a great teak option.

yoga balls

These are my favourite tool for fascial release under the feet in standing, leaning against the wall for hips and glutes and for using at various levels along the spine. I have had the same set of Tune Up balls for over a decade so they get my highest recommendation but in the photo is also a newer, less expensive version. I don’t love the rubber smell but after regular use it goes away!

We need to talk about vaginas

This is my favourite book to recommend for kids (adults love it too). I appreciate the graphics that show the uniqueness of every vulva. We all want to know that our bodies are ‘normal’ (whatever normal is!?) and should be empowering our young people with knowledge and proper anatomical language to ask questions. I made a few extra notes in my copy but this is a great starting point.

Wild Feminine

This brilliant book by Tami Lynn Kent should be required reading for all humans and I recommend it to all of my pelvic health clients. Many symptoms are not related to weakness but are a result of disconnection and this book is a self-care manual for reclaiming your body and energy. It is my hope that the generation of girls growing up now will understand the sacredness of their Wild Feminine and I feel a strong call to share Tami’s work.

Wild mothering

This book is a must read as a follow-up to Wild Feminine. Especially resonant for those embarking on or in the midst of a parenting journey. Tami’s work reminds us of the need to protect and nourish our bodies in a way that our society simply does not encourage us to do. Ideally this book would be read prior to pregnancy but it is never too late. I have witnessed powerful reactions to this work even decades after giving birth.

Wild creative

With the same generous spirit as Wild Feminine and Wild Mothering, Tami Lynn Kent has gifted the world with this beautiful guide to creating the life of your dreams. It invites you to pause and check in then be intentional about how you want to show up in the world. I wish our world leaders would read this book and for those of us with children, lets teach them this now so the future leaders are rooted in a place of empowerment.
